Thoughts on the new School Board candidates?

I'm not really sure what to think. Clearly, I believed Marvin Stewart was a much stronger voice for District 20 than Ms. Green. Why Ms. Green decided to run again is beyond me.
Losing David Engelman on our board is huge. He truly believed in holding CCSD accountable for the money they spend...which is clearly NOT going into the classroom.
Chris Collins? God help us all. He seems like a nice guy, but I'm not sure he knows up from down. He's a perfect "Mayor Riley pick", if you ask me.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Why so upset underdog? Is it because your insignificant blog did little to influence voters?
boo hoo :(

You should be glad your girl Toya is still there so you will have plenty of propaganda to write about... :)

The age mentality of people who post on this blog never seems to surprise me. It's scary to think what the poster above does for a living.

Ever heard the word "facetious" Anonymous 9:11? Go look it up.

This blog does nothing positive for CCSD... it's always negative hyperbole...

Just givin' a little back :)

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Look on the bright side--at least the Rev. Darby actually admitted to being wrong in Sunday's P & C. Maybe he'll come to think he's wrong on CCSD as well.

Not "candidates," Underdog. Newly elected members.

I think Mr. Facetious is Jon Butzon, Underdog. Ask him what he's done for our Dist. 20 schools. And then I wish he would post as to the "happy" things going on in my child's school. His science teacher walked out last week.

Why does CCSD continue to force schools like Burke to limp along with subs and teachers filling in out of their field in core academic courses? Or is this an example of the incompetence in the principal's office? Either way, CCSD should be on top of this. As a Title One school parents are supposed to be informed when their children are in class with a teacher that isn't "highly qualified" in the subject area. What gives? I understand they are fudging the reports to the state. Sounds like more cover up from Janet Rose. You know, she's the district administrator in charge of all the assessment and testing records. If she doesn't know about this, she isn't doing her job. If she does know about it, she's covering it up. So why did the science teacher at Burke walk out?

From what I hear she was disgusted by the system.
She was Hillary Douglas' sister.

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
